Sarah Miller Caldicott

"Innovate like Edison: How You Can Use the Five Competencies of Innovation to Help Your Clients Create Competitive Advantage"

Sarah Miller Caldicott has assembled teams of highly experienced consultants and trainers to assist her in bringing Edison’s Five Competencies of Innovation™ to organizations of all sizes.  Sarah and her teams are capable of addressing business challenges from a diverse array of industries, in either a business-to-consumer or business-to-business environment.

Co-author of a groundbreaking book on Thomas Edison’s innovation best practices, entitled Innovate Like Edison: The Success System of America’s Greatest Inventor, Sarah speaks to audiences across the country, and leads executive seminars on how to embed Edison’s Five Competencies of Innovation in their organizations.  These competencies propelled Edison to generate a record-breaking 1,093 US patents and 1,293 international patents over 62 successive years.

Sarah also shares with leaders how they can use Edison’s time-tested methods to create innovation literacy in their organizations, as well as develop corporate innovation infrastructure to propel them toward innovation success.  She advises executives and business owners on how to design teams for maximum innovation impact, “re-wire” their cultures to create a 21st century innovation powerhouse, and hire collaborative employees that will thrive in an innovation-driven culture.  Working with the Edison Innovation Literacy Blueprint, Sarah helps each firm build competitive advantage while also creating its own signature innovation style.

Christopher S. Rollyson has been a pioneer in innovation and enterprise transformation for over twenty years. As a management consultant and marketing executive, he has had a leading role in the release of Java, e-business transformation and with enterprise software transformation. Currently he works with global companies and government agencies to create strategy and programs that engage customers in social networks and other Web 2.0 venues.

In 2008, he launched The Executive's Guide to LinkedIn, which advises organizations on using LinkedIn for process innovation. Previously at PricewaterhouseCoopers, he advised clients in many industries on transforming themselves with e-business. Before that, as a marketing executive at KPMG, he transformed marketing for a twelve-state area with a digital knowledge strategy. Mr. Rollyson has done graduate work in strategy and economics at the University of Chicago. He has lived and worked in France, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, the U.K., Spain and the U.S.

Since getting his start in professional services and in publishing in the early 1990s, Mike has been a management consultant, a leader of multi-million dollar highly-profitable division of a major professional services firm, an entrepreneur, and a rainmaker.

As Publisher of RainToday.com and a Principal with the Wellesley Hills Group, Mike is a frequent speaker and consultant to service firms worldwide on topics such as service firm branding, marketing, lead generation, e-marketing, and rainmaking. Mike's current and previous clients include firms such as Ryder System, Bank of America, John Hancock Financial Services, American Management Association, Pegasystems, Instron, Fidelity Investments, and a host of other major and emerging growth service firms.

Mike holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, and a BA from Brandeis University. He is also an avid fly fisherman and golfer, and actively studies and teaches Kokondo Karate and Jukido Jujitsu, holding the ranks of black belt and Sensei in each.
