Session Description:
This workshop is designed to prepare you for the obstacles, timeline and circumstances you will face when you open your own consulting practice. It will give you a daily plan so that you can begin your practice on the right foot.
Session Objective / Value
We will cover three specific areas in this presentation. The first will be how to manage your time in your first 90 to 180 days by giving you priorities, a daily schedule of events, marketing procedures and networking. The second will involve a discussion of creating a niche vs being a generalist. Branding, websites and references will be included. The third area will be marketing and public relations including press releases, radio appearances, community events and article submissions.

Speaker Biography
Gayle Carson has served as a consultant to 50 industries on six continents, advising them on current business trends and cutting edge opportunities to stay ahead of their competition. As an expert advisor and coach to CEOs and entrepreneurial managers around the world, she is constantly updating her own knowledge in private sector areas. In her first business, she managed a diverse staff of over 350 people, graduated more than a quarter of a million students from her training programs and personally managed the company’s complex payroll. She is a classic entrepreneur and has several other businesses in which she has an interest.
